Mayors’ Night, organized by RIL Argentina, brought together in Rosario more than 800 political leaders, public officials, business representatives and civil society leaders to highlight the development potential of cities and strengthen the construction of cities of opportunity.
The event gathered more than 400 public officials — including national and provincial ministers, senators, governors and mayors from 235 Argentine cities — as well as more than 360 business leaders, RIL ambassadors, media representatives and civil society leaders. Among the attendees were Pablo Javkin, Maximiliano Pullaro, Ignacio Torres, Juan Pablo Valdez and Alfredo Cornejo, among other leaders.
During the event, the RIL Awards 2026 ceremony was also held, recognizing cities and government teams for their innovation, efficiency and commitment to building cities of opportunity. Initiatives related to artificial intelligence, biodiversity protection, economic development, early childhood and urban mobility, among other topics, were recognized.
Among the distinctions, Río Cuarto received the 2026 Local Innovation Award for its “Más 16 Program,” while Luján de Cuyo was recognized as a RIL City. Local leaders were also highlighted for their ability to create impact, build networks and strengthen public management within their communities.
The following day, together with the Municipality of Rosario, the Day of Cities was held: a complementary agenda of activities for mayors, government teams, private sector representatives and civil society organizations to exchange experiences, find inspiration and learn about Rosario’s outstanding public policies.
With three consecutive editions already held — Buenos Aires 2022, Córdoba 2024 and Rosario 2026 — Mayors’ Night continues to consolidate itself as a federal space to strengthen networks, generate partnerships and highlight the role of cities in transforming people’s lives.
