RIL Colombia held the launch of the Economic Development Community in Santa Marta, bringing together 30 cities from across the country.
It was a full day of collaborative work where local leaders came together to build a community focused on discussing the economic challenges faced by their territories. The gathering included a workshop using the Economic Development Self-Assessment Tool, as well as powerful conversations and connections between cities that enabled participants to share experiences and common challenges.
Throughout the day, topics such as tourism, circular economy, circular fashion, and international connectivity strategies were discussed, including the case of Montería, Córdoba. In this context, different cities shared their perspectives on how to drive economic development from the local level, creating a space for collective learning and peer collaboration.
The event resulted in a shared roadmap based on collaboration between local governments and the exchange of best practices to strengthen competitiveness in each territory.
