From RIL Uruguay, we took part in a key co-design workshop for the Nexo project, driven by Municipio C and the Municipality of Montevideo.
One working table, multiple actors: technical teams from strategic areas such as Management Commitments, Social Development, and the Secretariat of Education for Citizenship; institutional representatives from the Departmental Board, the Municipal Council, and the Division of Municipal Development Advisory and Participation; members of Neighborhood Councils and organizations such as +Uruguay and RIL Uruguay.
🚀 Nexo is an initiative grounded in active listening. It aims to integrate citizen demand directly into the Management Commitments system, transforming proposals into traceable public goals with real impact.
The proposal was selected among 240 initiatives worldwide to be part of the Creative Bureaucracy Festival 2026, which will take place in June in Berlin. The design process was initially supported by RIL Uruguay’s Local Innovators Program, together with Ashoka.
