We want more and more people to innovate in local management. For this reason, we are going to recognize the city that adds the most users to the Portal: we will raffle among the users of the winning city a trip to participate in the Smart City Expo in Barcelona!

To participate you need to:

• Be working in a local government or with the local goverment on solving public challenges in your community
• Have a user in the active Portal.
• Have your profile complete, including the answer to the question “Why would you want to travel to the Smart City Expo in Barcelona?”
• Recommend the tool to your colleagues so that your city is chosen! Attention: the most active users double their chances.

 You will have time to participate until the last minute of October 13, 2022.

What does the prize include? The air ticket to the city of Barcelona and the pass to the exhibition.

The Smart City Expo will be held between November 15 and 17, 2022 and is an international reference event for cities. It is a unique exhibition that brings together the most innovative leaders of governments, companies and organizations to drive cities towards a better future.

1. Who can participate in the campaign?

All natural persons who have a user in the Portal participate, have completed their profile correctly and answer the question “Why would you want to travel to the Smart City Expo in Barcelona?

2. What is the prize?

The prize includes a ticket for one person (round trip) to the city of Barcelona. The departure origin and the return destination will be subject to the city that is the winner. If necessary, the prize will include the ticket (round trip) from the city of origin to the nearest city with a direct flight to Barcelona.

The prize also includes a pass to the "Smart City Expo World Congress 2022", facilitated thanks to the International Republican Institute.

3. What is the Portal?

The Portal is a platform developed by RIL, especially for people who work to solve the public challenges of their communities, which brings together all the knowledge necessary to lead the transformation of their cities.

Users have access to different sections to connect with peers, be inspired by innovative cases, learn about key topics, evaluate management in their city, access tools for efficient management, and much more!

4. How can I access the Portal?

The website of the Portal is: https://gestionmunicipal.org. Users can be generated by all those people who work solving public challenges in their communities, actively participating in or together with the local government.

6. Who can participate in the draw?

The draw will be held among the active users of the city that generates the most users from 07/01/2022 to 10/13/2022. Any city in the world can participate.

7. If I already have a user created, can I participate in the draw?

Yes, as long as your city is the winner, you have your complete profile and you have answered the question “Why would you want to travel to the Smart City Expo in Barcelona?”

8. Who are the active users?

Active users are those who entered the Portal, completed their profile correctly, and answered the question "Why would you want to travel to the Smart City Expo in Barcelona?".

9. Who are the most active users?

The most active users are those who entered more than once in the assigned period (07/01/2022 to 10/13/2022), completed their profile correctly, and answered the question: “Why would you want to travel to the Smart City? Expo in Barcelona? The 10 most active users will have a double chance to be drawn.

10. How can I triple my chances?

Active users (who have met the above requirements) and who respond to the "special garments" that we make from RIL's social networks have a triple chance of being drawn.

11. Who cannot participate in the draw?

Users who have registered a generic e-mail will not participate in the draw. Only individuals of legal age will be accepted.

12. Until when can I participate in the draw?

You can participate in the draw until 11:59 p.m. on October 13, 2022 (Argentina time)

13. Who and when will the draw take place?

The draw will be carried out by RIL, on October 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. (Argentina time)

14. What is the Smart City Expo World Congress 2022?

The Smart City Expo World Congress will be held between November 15 and 17, 2022, and will bring together leaders of the most innovative companies, governments and organizations to drive cities towards a better future.

Held in Barcelona since 2011, it is the international benchmark event for cities. Its mission is to empower cities and collectivize urban innovation around the world, through the promotion of social innovation and the identification of opportunities for collaboration, the event is dedicated to creating a better future for cities and their citizens.

Bases and Conditions of the Campaign "The Portal takes you to the Smart City Expo in Barcelona"

1. Activity valid from 00:00 on 07/01/2022 to 23:59 on 10/13/2022.
2. Activity carried out by the Local Innovation Network – RIL. Solely responsible for your organization.
3. All active users of the Portal participate in the campaign.
4. The Portal is a digital platform developed by RIL: https://gestionmunicipal.org
5. Active users are those who entered the Portal, completed their profile correctly, and answered the question "Why would you want to travel to the Smart City Expo in Barcelona?".
6. Only those people who can justify that they work in or with the local government in the resolution of its public challenges will be able to have access to a user in the Portal.
7. The most active users are those who entered more than once in the assigned period (07/01/2022 to 10/13/2022), completed their profile correctly, and answered the question “Why would you want to travel to the Smart City Expo? in Barcelona?
8. The 10 most active users have a double chance of being drawn.
9. Users who respond to the "special assignments" that arise from RIL's social media accounts (and that comply with the mentioned recquirements) can triple their chance of being drawn.
10. Only the city that is the winner will participate in the draw.
11. The winning city will be the city that generates the most users in the assigned period (07/01/2022 to 10/13/2022).
12. The draw will be made among all the active users of the winning city who meet the aforementioned conditions.
13. Users can participate in the draw until 11:59 p.m. on October 13, 2022 (Argentina time)
14. The draw will be carried out by RIL on October 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. (Argentina time)
15. The draw will consist of the random selection by random system of 1 main winner and 1 alternate, among the participants of point 11.
16. Users who have registered a generic e-mail will not participate in the draw. Only individuals of legal age will be accepted. Members of the RIL team and their direct relatives will also not be able to participate in the draw.
17. The prize includes a ticket for one person (round trip) to Barcelona. The departure origin and the return destination will be subject to the city that is the winner. If necessary, the draw will include the ticket (round trip) from the city of origin to the nearest city that has a direct flight to Barcelona.
18. The prize also includes a pass to the "Smart City Expo World Congress 2022". The event will take place between November 15 and 17, 2022.
19. The prize excludes lodging, travel expenses and any additional expenses to what is mentioned above.
20. The winner of the prize will be notified by RIL, via email to the address reported on the Portal, within five (5) business days after the draw in which they were the winner to combine their delivery. The winner will have up to five (5) business days to contact RIL and confirm receipt of the notification sent. After this period without having confirmed the reception of the notification, a new notification will be sent, and after three (3) working days without having the confirmation of the same, the delivery to the substitute of point 14 will proceed. The winner must justify your identity with valid valid document.
21. The winner expressly authorizes RIL and its counterparts to spread their name, photos and images and/or voice in mass media and in the way that the organization deems appropriate; without prior or subsequent right to compensation.
